Im Mystery dungeon games, why are your words in a parenthesis ?

In Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, when your main character talks,his words are inside a Parenthesis.Why ?

Because you are thinking them. When the main character actually speaks, there is no text, but the their characters act like they heard the main character.
