What are Purugly's weaknesses?

Question

I'm having trouble defeating Mars (the first of four Galactic leaders you have to battle in Pokemon Platinum) and she has a Zubat and a Purugly. Does anyboby have any tips on how I can win in battle? Does anybody know Zubat's/Purugly's weaknesses in battle?

• Zubat is really easy, just hit it with a strong neutral attack and it'll go down.
• Purugly can be such a pain, but using a really sturdy Pokemon with high defenses, such as Geodude, you can dish out a win. Make sure to bring some Potions.
