Is tentacool worth it?

I just got a shiny one!! First shiny, and I was wondering if she/he is actually has good stats and can do something useful (other than toxic spikes). Also, what ev's should she be trained in? Thank you! ;D

It would be worth evolving it into Tentacruel it has special defense as its highest stat. Don't worry, if you evolve shiny Pokemon they still stay shiny. Congrats for getting shiny one i got shiny Machoke in Diamond after defeating Cynthia!
