Does Hyper Cutter protect Sp. Atk.?

Does Hyper Cutter also prevent Sp. Atk. reductions? If not, is there an Ability that does?

It only prevents the Attack stat from being lowered.

I am currently going through the abilities list right now to see if there is one that prevents the Special Attack from being lowered, although I don't think there is.

Oh, that's sad. I have Trapinch with Hyper Cutter and I was wondering if Flygon could use Draco Meteor effectively without losing Sp. Attack.

The trapinch will lose hyper cutter and get levitate when it evolves.  So it wouldn't matter either way.

Definitely.  Levitate is better than hyper cutter anyways and its stats will greatly improve.

lol was just about to edit to tell you there is no move that prevents SAtk from dropping :/

And the drop from Draco Meteor would still have happened.
