If a Pokémon holds an Everstone, will that prevent the use of evolutionary stones?

So, I am putzing around with my eevee who is holding an everstone. I am going to use a fire stone on my vulpix but I accidentally click on eevee. Would eevee evolve?

Yes it will

Another stone, the Everstone, is different in that radiates a type of energy that prevents evolution in the holders; however, if a Pokémon holding the Everstone has an evolutionary stone used on it, it will still evolve.

Whether or not the Everstone prevents evolving through a consumable item like an Evolution stone depends entirely on the game.

In Generations IV, V, and IX, a Pokémon can still evolve using an Evolution stone while holding the Everstone. In Generations II, III, and VI to VIII, a Pokémon is unable to evolve with them while holding an Everstone.
