Where to get tyranitar in Gen 2 or Gen 3?

Question

I want one to beat Gary in Leaf Green the second time in the elite four and I need it for the pokedex.
Please help

You cant get a Tyranitar by catching it in the wild, But you can get Larvitar in Seavault Canyon but its pretty rare so good luck
