Does the Pokèmon Amie enjoyment stat affect a pokèmon's skill?

I decided to max my team's affection stat and saw that it drastically boosted the overall skill of my pokèmon. I became interested, so I decided to ask how to gain Enjoyment points. Then, I realized that if this does absolutely nothing to affect my pokèmon's behavior, it would be a waste of my time. So, to make a long story short, should I max my pokèmon's Enjoyment stat, and how do I do it if so?

A Pokemon's Enjoyment stat doesn't really affect battle at all, only in Pokemon Amie can the Enjoyment stat affect your Pokemon in numerous way.

If you care about raising your Enjoyment stat anyway, look in the Enj. column of this wonderful table on the Pokemon Amie Bulbapedia page.
