Does Whirlpool end when the Pokemon you use whirlpool with switches out?

Question

Say you're a Lapras, you use Whirlpool to trap the opponent, then switch out to something that walls that Pokemon completely.
So do the effects of whirlpool go away upon you switching out with the Pokemon you used the move with, or does the other Pokemon stay in the vortex?

Yes

If the Pokemon using whirlpool switches out, it ends the move and the opposing Pokemon will no longer be effected.
