I'm not sure what you're talking about, I don't remember Primo, getting any eggs from this person, or which version it is.
In most cases, eggs you get are for Pokemon that are new in the respective version (certainly not this case.)
In other cases, usually the hatched Pokemon is bred to be a little bit better than any one that you could catch in the wild. -This may be it.
