Why won't Omega Ruby have a friend code, but my X version does?

I am using the same 3DS, but on Omega Ruby says I don't have a friend code.

This is because the friend code is on your 3DS itself. The code is the same on both your X Version and your Omega Ruby Version.

What exactly do you mean by friend code? The only one that I know of is the one that is in your 3DS, and I don't think there's a code for other games... elaborate please. I might be able to help you out :)

if you mean why your friends aren't showing up it's because you both need to be online for the game to register them.
