Which is a more viable item farm?

I have a team of Compound Eyes (I can't believe its not) Butterfree with Thief and 5 Zigzagoons knowing pickup,I chain search Zigzagoons on route 101 to get free revives and other stuff from the Zigzagoons. Would it be better if I changed Butterfree to a Zigzagoon with Pickup? (item collectiing wise.)

I'd say the Compoundeyes method, mainly because of the fact that the Pickup method doesn't guarantee you the items you get during the battle, while Compoundeyes boosts the chance of you finding an item during battle. Plus you already have 5 Zigzagoons already, better to have a near guaranteed chance than to rely on Pickup to get an item you want.
