What does oduer sleuth and identify do?

Pokemon have been hitting my team with moves like odor sleuth and identify, but I don't know what they do and should I be worried?

Moves like Odor Sleuth that identify Pokemon lowers the targeted Pokemons evasiveness back to the base level (e.g. If you use Double Team a few times, it will nullify that stat boost) and allow Normal and Fighting types to hit Ghost types.

Generally, it practically does nothing, so there is no need to worry.

Odor Sleuth, Foresight, and Identify gives the user a sure-hit status (Trust me, I know from experience >.<) and allow normal and fighting type moves to strike the target.
