Empoleon or Blastiose?

Question

I've decided I'm going to try to get the perfect water type, I've decided its either Blastiose or Empoleon. But I can't decide. (I'm playing Y BTW)
I'm planning to have either
Charizard
Blastoise
Venusaur
Pikachu
Snorlax
Espeon
(I like Red)
OR
Empoleon
Gallade
Houndoom
Garchomp
Roserade
Staraptor

I've been wondering this for a while now. Both of them really made me feel special on the date I had with them. Blastiose just said his name a lot, or simply spoke a single syllable of it. Empoleon, however, has 4 syllables in his name so he REALLY "spiced it up"... especially after the date... but Daddy said not to talk about that part. Overall, I guess Blastiose was the best because of his frequent Master of Disguise references. No one will understand what I mean by that though, so maybe Empoleon is the best for you

Well, these questions are extremely vague and hard to answer.

Choose Empoleon if you want a bulky staller who has the ability to take special hits well with limited weaknesses and the ability to set up hazards and also get rid of them.

Choose Blastoise if you haven't already got a mega or want a second one. A bulky hard hitter, but not as bulky as Empoleon. Good coverage but hard to make work on a team.

Honestly it depends on what team you have. Edit that in and I can edit this with more detail.
