Infestation inflicts damage on the first turn then traps the opponent, causing them to lose 1⁄16 of their maximum HP after each turn, for 4-5 turns. If the user holds a Grip Claw then it is always 5 turns.

Source: the DB page for Infestation

"Partial trapping moves last 6 turns." -Smogon.com
also, infestation does 1/8, not 1/16. source invalidated by questionable research effort
I just used the page from THIS website. Also, looks like you knew the answer, so why did you ask the question? As well, I don't use smogon, I tend to use the DB as my source. Don't go on a Q&A and say that the information on THAT WEBSITE is false. Don't like what we have to say, or don't believe us? Then leave.
I didn't intend to be mean, but I was asking for clarificaion on this. Oh, and "A hold item that causes partially trapping moves to always work for 7 turns (5 turns prior to Generation V)." -Bulbapedia.net and "When this item is held by a Pokémon, if the holder uses the moves Bind, Wrap, Fire Spin, Clamp, Whirlpool, Uproar, Outrage or Sand Tomb, the move will last a further 5 turns" -Serebii.net  See the confusion?
Yes, I do, however I see no way to determine which one is correct.
One sec, perhaps I can do a Showdown test with a friend, give me a few hours.
