Paralysis and Chance?

Question

I was just wondering when a Pokemon is paralyzed in a turn, does the chance from being immobile go from 20% upwards? Because most of th etime when a faster Pokemon uses Thunder Wave on me I am always paralyzed. Is it just pure luck?

It's 25% not 20%,  n RNG does it for individual moves so percentages don't add up, you're just unlucky tho. The chance of getting paralysed 4 turns in a row is approximately 0.4% (correct me if I'm wrong here) , rare but happens.
