Does the ability Drought boost another Pokemon's speed with the ability Chlorophyll?

Lets say in double battle I'm using a Torkoal with the ability Drought and a Venusaur with Chlorophyll, will the sunlight from Tor's Drought boost Venu's speed or is it too harsh?

yes. Drought is like a turn-free sunny day, and since chlorophyll activates in sunshine, and you are in sunshine, why wouldn't it?

Thanks for the answer! I was wondering because on Drought's description it said it creates an intense sunlight, so wasn't sure if this was like a regular sunny day or not.
