Does the ability Battery affect the Pokémon’s special attack?

The description for the ability Battery (Charjabug’s signature ability) states that it increases the power of your allies’ special attacks. Does it also increase Charjabug’s special attacks?

Unfortunately, not. It only affects your ally Pokemon's special moves in a mode like Double Battles. If you move Battery to your ally Pokemon through another means like Skill Swap, then it will boost Charjabug's special moves instead since it no longer has Battery, the other Pokemon does.
