I’ve been trying to make a gimmick using Coalossal’s ability Steam Engine but have gotten stumped in thinking of anything to work well in a double battle. So far, everything I find to help me has been for single battles. Please describe any Pokémon that may work for this setup. Move, ability, and item descriptions would be great as well.

What kind of doubles? Battle Stadium, VGC, OU, or something else? Are there any Pokemon, moves, or abilities that you're not allowed to use?
It’s battle stadium. All Pokémon are available.

Whimisicott@Focus Sash
ability- prankster
tailwind/ swagger- speed booster, or for extra sweepiness
leech seed/ toxic- just for extra damage/ sustain
Moonblast/ solar beam/ endeavor- for those pesky taunters, or for after the focus sash
Misty Terrain/ safeguard/ trick room- support

honestly, its quite difficult for someone to suggest a Pokemon without knowing your team build, the strategy, or even just the sweeper you're pairing with. but overall, I think this guy is the best. Prankster on top of access to all these supportive moves is the greatest. But if you want a better look, look at Whimsicott on Pokemon Database. Personally, I paired it with a slaking after getting rid of that ability. Gave it trick room, safeguard, swagger, and taunt. worked like a charm.

I'm pretty sure Whimsicott's best moves are tailwind, helping hand (powers up ally without confusing), moonblast, and beat up (activates Arcanine's justified) or energy ball (doesn't require charging). Endeavor is also a good option, but I don't think any of the other moves you suggested are useful in BSD.
I only put these moves on as I try to stray from the norm, meaning I avoid using Arcanine. But I see your point. this would work well with a full physical attacker, such as the Swords. also, I'm relatively new to competitive gameplay, what is BSD?

P.S. I love your movesets. I've seen you on several other pages as well, and you've got a brilliant strategic mind.
BDS is Battle Stadium Doubles.
Also I get a lot of my movesets from Smogon. For example, that Whimsicott set was from here. https://www.smogon.com/stats/2019-11/moveset/gen8battlestadiumdoubles-1760.txt
