Gender: I just wanted to tell you this. If you go to a Bulbapedia article that isn't a stub, click on the first internal link in the article that isn't in italics or parentheses, and repeat the previous step, you will eventually find yourself at the Bulbapedia article about Canada. As for gender, I'm genderless.
Country: sumwair, where the game crashes whenever a Spewpa evolves. Time zone: UTC-13
Favorite Pokémon: I have one for each type. See below. Contrary to popular belief, I do not like Doublade. However, I do like steel types.
Friend Codes: Showdown usernames:

*I do have my own Youtube channel, but I post videos so infrequently that I usually prefer to direct people to my acquaintance anAwsomePerson's channel. If you really want to see me on Youtube, then it's aFarfetchedPerson.

Friends list:
What's a friend? Is it one of those things that everyone has except me?
About me: It's not that hard to type "sumwun", so just call me that. "Sumwun" is incorrect because proper nouns are not supposed to be capitalized, even at the beginning of a sentence, and "someone" is incorrect because I think spelling words incorrectly makes people look less sophisticated. If you insist on calling me by my real name, I don't have one. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

For as long as I can remember, I've asked more unanswered questions than anyone else on this site. Please tell me when this changes.

Favorite Pokemon Quotes:

"I did my best, I have no regrets,"
--4 trainers on Route 24, Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, FireRed, LeafGreen Versions

"I now see that the circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant. It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are."
--Mewtwo, Mewtwo Strikes Back

"We do have a lot in common. The same Earth, the same air, the same sky. Maybe if we started looking at what's the same instead of always looking at what's different...well, who knows?"
--Meowth, Mewtwo Strikes Back

"It matters not that I catch nothing. The line remains in the water..."
--Fisherman Jonah, Route 127, Pokemon Emerald Version

"Sure, this is Victory Road. But it's not all that different from the path you've taken so far."
--Cooltrainer Halle, Pokemon Emerald Version

"If the strong and able do too much, they limit the contributions of others. The strong must show restraint. This enables everyone to live together and share responsibility."
--a veteran, Pokemon Platinum Version

"It's a lot harder to defeat one's self than anyone else."
--Riley, Pokemon Platinum Version

"The world awaited your birth. Not only yours, either. The Pokémon with you. The people close to you. All the Pokémon and people were born because they have a part in the world."
--Cynthia, Pokemon Platinum Version

"Neither Pokemon nor people live forever. But it is the very frailty of life that allows us to shine!"
--Veteran Edgar, Pokemon Platinum Version

"Of course, there are lots of outlaws in this world. They are caught and punished, but... But... Truly bad Pokemon don't really exist anywhere."
--Wigglytuff, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky

"There are other people and Pokemon who cherish this world, this time and space, and that's why they're all gathered here today. You have no right to take away the things that are precious to others for your own selfish reasons!"
--Diamond, Pokemon Adventures Diamond Pearl Platinum Vol. 9

"Both people and Pokemon make mistakes. But if we can pause to think for a moment, we might be able to fix things, or at least prevent them from getting any worse"
--Platinum, Pokemon Adventures Diamond Pearl Platinum Vol. 11

"It's more important to master the cards you're holding than to complain about the ones your opponents were dealt."
--Grimsley, Pokemon Black and White Versions

"I lost because I didn't eat enough pizza."
--Black Belt Jeffery, Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum Versions

I was mentioned in False Swipe Gaming's Smeargle video!

Random Pokemon opinions:

According to Smogon, knowledge itself is never used. This needs to be remedied quickly.

The main reason why BW sold so many copies is because they're the first Pokemon core series versions not to have wild Zubat.

Life is about not always getting what you want. It couldn't be more true. All I wanted was life not to be fairy type.

If anybody says that Pokemon isn't educational, tell him/her/it that logs are used in calculating catch rates.

If two Pokemon don't like each other very much, they will still breed. Are you sure this is appropriate for kids?

The Pokemon tv show was first aired 4/1/1997. This is solid proof that the tv show was nothing but a joke.

Then everyone sounds however you would like them to (I prefer DECTalk :P).

Sometimes I do viability, but most of the time I prefer fun, and often times viability can definitely can be fun. When it's not, I stray away from it for a while, almost like taking a break, and really enjoy what I am doing. Sometimes it is fun seeing how far you can go with the odds stacked against you. :P

I am not complaining about Smogon; I am glad it exists, I am just contrasting it to myself, which are very different things, like you said. I mean, without Smogon, I wouldn't have all sorts of weird and obscure metagames and pet mods to play; nevertheless, have the Pokémon Showdown! simulator to do battle on. :P

I can't sound like Hórus because text doesn't make noise. I am sure everyone is different but some people share a few of the same ideals, at least. :P

Viability itself tells us to use the thing that is best for the job, which sometimes isn't what I want to do. Smogon thinks that you should do whatever gets the job done best, which is efficient, but doesn't satisfy my "fun creativity". Sometimes doing whatever is good for Smogon's metagame isn't fun. :P

Sure. My team sucks, and I’ve been too lazy to build a new one. I’ll probably be ready by next week.

Well sumwun, maybe it's because I am a rebellious teenager and I don't want to be told Mega Garchomp is terrible compared to Garchomp, Alolan Golem is outclassed as a Magnet Puller in OU, or Snatch is a terrible move. :P

I also believe that elitist thing is often less creative than non-elitest thinking because non-elitists dare to use the situational and less viable stuff. :P

Or maybe, it is because I like making things harder for myself to have a more fun, more risky match that smogon says is pointless, because I should find the best, most reliable way of doing things. :P

I just like doing things my way. I still acknowledge Smogon's thought process, understand it, and use it often (especially when ladder climbing/Rating Teams, and things of those nature), but I don't live by it, and often express my own creativity as what is good or bad, what is viable or nonviable, etc. I play this game for the fun, the community, the math, the concept, not for winning. I could care less about winning. Bettering my mind, creativity, and friendly rivalry/competition has always been more important to me than using the best, and evidently, being the best. :P

Not everyone, just people who've played this game for so long and aren't sociopaths

I never said Slaking was the best, I said it was one of the best for 2 simple reasons: 1. It's fun to play 2. It's viable. That's it.
Also, you chose Steven as an example because all of his Pokemon except for Claydol resist normal, and Claydol has a high base Defense anyhow. For the rest of the Hoenn league, slaking 1HKO pretty much everything.
I mentioned the word "fun" earlier which you seem to have forgotten all about. As someone who has been playing Pokemon for almost 7 years now, being a try-hard leeches pretty much all the fun out of the game. Having something like Truant on your team can really mix things up and be surprisingly effective.
