How to maximize my chances of capturing Snorlax?

Question

I have one Great Ball available to capture Snorlax. After lowering it's HP to half and abusing how it knows Rest to inflict sleep on it, can I increase a rate of approx. 23% in any way, or is this my best?

EDIT: note that I am soft-resetting for the Snorlax capture when giving advice.

I simply went and bought extra Great Balls. This has been significantly increasing the chances I capture Snorlax. This is solved for anyone to know.

You should take chance of rest. Once Snorlax uses rest lower it's HP and catch it before it wakes up.
