So Surging Strikes hit 3 times, right? Then each time should be a crit, resulting with more BP than Wicked Blow. However, it does not land a crit every time it hits, and why is that?

The reason why is because you can't divide 80 by 3, unless using decimals, and the base power of a Pokémon move is always a non-decimal number, unless using boosting items, abilities, or when counting critical hits

80/3= 26.6666666667

Also, I'm pretty sure it does land a crit each time it hits

Hope this helped :)

Wait, but if it lands a crit every time it hits (3 times) what is the power?
Well, turns out my answer was a little wrong, so I edited it. If not counting STAB, 37.5 BP per hit, so a total of 112.5 BP. If counting STAB, 1 hit is 56 BP, so it would be a total of 168 BP
Ok, thanks snom!
no prob :)
does this mean wicked blow is weaker than surging strikes?
They actually decreased Wicked Blow's power to 75 in Gen 9, so their even now, sorta
