In my opinion, you should use Drednaw. It has an excellent Ability in Strong Jaw, and that plus a solid Attack stat make it beastly. While it's on the slower side and has a somewhat limited movepool, it's available earlier and is easier to obtain than Golisopod. Golisopod is also greatly hindered by its Ability, and while it doesn't matter as much in-game, it can still be an annoyance.
