Is it true that the Dittos found on Route 34 have a higher chance of being shiny due to the stats?

I was watching a video and a dude found a full odds shiny by the daycare in Crystal. He said he heard something like “the dittos around here have higher odds of being shiny, but I’m not sure how true that is”. I also think I heard this in my early childhood. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I’d think no, it’d be the regular 1/8192, but I’m also not the best with early gen mechanics or stats. Sorry if it’s stupid

No, there is no difference in shiny rates. It would be the regular 1/8192.

I have my doubts. Since it would be a stat thing, it wouldn’t be in those pages, I don’t think. I would prefer an answer from someone who’s more fluent with gen 2 mechanics and stats to explain how why or why not that’s be the case. You can keep your answer up, but for that reason I won’t ba, in case there just happens to be someone who can mathematically prove this correct or incorrect
