How does last respects work with raids?

I have anecdotal evidence that it works. One of my teammates says he has a Tera Team of three LV1 Stantler and a Houndstone and that it gets disgustingly high damage after 2 rounds.

Looks like the play is 3 stantler. 3 Helping Hands.  They all die and Houndstone has a 200 bp Last Respects. They do it again and its at 350. With the 3 helping hands, it is more than a triple boost.

Tested against anecdotal suggestion and discovered that it does not work in any way.

It does not boost if you faint.
It does not boost if your party is fainted.
It does not boost if your teammates faint.
