What happens when Mold Breaker effects Contary?

yo I'm confused with mold breaker ability effecting contary, so if mold breaker activates, will contary just not work at all? (if mold breaker is active, and I use a "lower defence" move on the foe, will it lower their defence cause of mold breaker stopping contary from working, or not?)

Yes, Contrary is nullified by Mold Breaker. Contrary Pokemon will have their stats affected normally instead of in reverse.
