PokéBase - Pokémon Q&A

I'm comparing these three facts:
- The Nintendo Switch 2 is coming out in "late 2025".
- Legends Z-A's official release date is June 5, 2025.
- New Nintendo Switch 2 games will not be compatible with the original Nintendo Switch.

Does this mean that Switch players will have to buy a Switch 2 to play Legends Z-A? Is all hope lost?

I really wanted to play that game... wahhhhhh...

I'm pretty sure it's both. I think there's a switch version and a switch 2 version or something.
oh phew. that would make sense.
both .

as Mr. Fish said above there are indeed going to be both a Switch 2 version of Legends Z-A and an original Switch version, however the Switch 2 edition will have upgraded visuals.
