A question similar to the second half of my question has been asked but if you can please still answer it

I have been playing Pokémon Scarlet for over a year now and not found a single Shiny Pokémon so I have decided to take on the challenge of shiny hunting so What is the chance of finding a Shiny Pokémon and how to increase it in Pokémon Scarlet?

Don't feel like doing a full answer right now but this answer has the odds (excluding sparkling power 1):

I recommend doing a mass outbreak for a specific Pokemon, depending on what shiny you want. If you are fine with grinding for Herba Mystica in 5/6 star raids, utilize encounter power sandwiches (I recommend looking up specific sandwich recipes online). Both of these effects stack and are boosted even further with the shiny charm. The masuda method is always available if you have a different language Pokemon and are willing to hatch a bunch of eggs.

All that being said, if you haven't found a shiny in over a year of playing, it's more likely that you've been missing them rather than them not spawning, especially of you aren't familiar with how the shinies look. There are also some really subtle shinies that you can easily miss if you don't check them.

Good luck hunting!

when you first start the game the chance for finding a shiny Pokemon is 1 out of 4096 which is loads better then the 8192 we used to have back in Gen 5 however there ways to increase these odds even further which I will now describe

first is the Shiny Charm which Jacq gives you for completing the Paldea Pokedex, the Blueberry and Kitakami pokedexes don't count as "Paldean" so you won't have to complete them to earn it, anyhow the odds after you get the shiny charm are 1 out of 1365.

the other method is using Sparkling Sandwiches which always require Herba Mystica to get max Sparkling Power i'll link a list of the recipes below but these take your odds to 1 out of 1024

BUT if you REALLY want to find shiny Pokemon a lot more and do both of these then your odds will go down to 1 out of 683 for whatever type your sandwich is

I have both the Shiny Charm and the Sandwiches which make it much easier to find Shinies. I sometimes even randomly chance upon one! Happy Shiny Hunting!

thanks
dose area zero include in this
First of all, @FieryHalmar, it's criminal that you didn't include outbreaks.

Second, @Pokequestioner, the shiny charm is always active (except for the certain spawns it doesn't affect), and although you can't make sandwiches in Area Zero, the sparkling power boosts do continue if you were to make a sandwich outside, then enter.
Pokequestioner was asking for odds and outbreaks don't increase the odds, just the amount of a certain pokemon.
But it does

> Players can further influence the rate of Shiny Pokémon appearing in the outbreak by defeating the said Pokémon; after defeating at least 30 of them, a second roll is added, effectively halving the drop rate from 1/4096 to 1/2408.25. After defeating at least 60 of the Pokémon, another roll is added to reduce it from 1/2408.25 to 1/1365.67. This roll further stacks with the Sparkling Power provided by sandwiches; with 60+ Pokémon defeated and level 3 Sparkling Power, the player has a 1/683.08 chance of running into a Shiny Pokémon in the outbreak. The Shiny Charm further stacks on this bonus, effectively increasing the encounter rate of a Shiny Pokémon to 1/512 when all conditions are met.
so @Mr Fish the shiny charm dose not need to be equipped to a pokemon to use it?
The shiny charm is a key item, meaning once you obtain it, you can't get rid of it or attach it to a Pokemon. It's always in your bag once you get it.
