I know that raid power adds extra rolls for the rare rewards pool for Tera Raids. But when does it work?

  • Is it predetermined and only applies the extra rolls to new raids that show up on the map or does it apply the rolls to all existing raids? For example, if I had a 6 star raid that only granted me an Ability Capsule before using Raid Power, are those rewards fixed if I were to restart my game and do the raid again with Raid Power, or would Raid Power actually give me more rolls for other rare pool stuff like Herba Mystica?

  • Additionally, does Raid Power only apply to your own raids or would you get the extra rolls when you join someone else's raids?

  • By extension, does your own Raid Power mean others who join the raid reap the same rewards/get extra rolls themselves?

I don't usually use Raid Power but since the Chi-yu raid sometimes gives good Herba Drops, it might be useful for me to farm Herba. Any info on this is appreciated!

I firstly want to thank Ax109 for helping me test this and I want to thank game freak for adding the 7star Magicarp raid because without that it would have been almost impossible to test this. Anyway to the answer.

Anyway I think you are confused on what raid power does. It does not give you more roles for rare items but rather gives you more items. Activating Raid power does not change the items you get it only adds more items. So if I do a raid that gives 1 Xl candy, reset, activate a raid power sandwich and the do the same raid I’ll still get the Xp candy in addition to extra loot from raid power.

To answer the other 2 questions the boost applies only too you whether you join someone else’s raid or you host your own raid only you get the extra items.

Also if you’re curious as to how I tested this I tested the first question by resetting and keeping track of what items I got and how many I got with a without raid power. For questions 2 and 3 I had Ax join my raid and then host a raid and both times I got more items than them because I had raid power applied.

So to understand, raid power gives you more items overall, not just stuff in the rare pool? That would make sense, but then my question still stands. Do you get more items to pre-existing raids on the map, as in you already have raids, get raid power, then go into a raid and get more items, or do the more items only apply to new raids that appear after you make the sandwich, as in you already have raids, get raid power, then need to get new raids for the extra items to drop?

Also, I saw you tested in chat, could you put those tests and results in your answer and explain what they mean, if possible?
Ooh, I see where my wording may have been confusing. I never thought Raid Power gave me different items. By the predetermined items, I was asking if the rewards were set whether or not I had raid power, as in I wouldn't have the opportunity to get additional items with raid power, not different items.

So based on your answer, if I were to run Raid Power with a pre-existing raid on the map, I would have a chance to get more items, even if I didn't get those extra items without Raid Power. Correct?

Also, do you happen to know how many extra items you get with raid power? I saw you mentioning 36 item stacks in chat when testing with Ax? What's that about.

The rest of the answer is fine, thanks for testing that. If it seems like I'm hammering you, I'm not, I just want to know the ideal time to pop a Raid Power sandwich for farming things like Herba Mystica, especially with these Magikarp raids going on. My main question is essentially "would I get Herba Mystica with the extra items given from Raid Power if I didn't get any without Raid Power," and if the answer is no, then it's better to just make the sandwich and reroll my raids.

I hope this makes sense as to what I'm asking. I will give you BA after that gets a concrete confirmation.
