Can I have my own house in Pokopia?

I made a little house but it says it vacant but I want to live there and I don’t know how :( how can I set my own house, if any?

Yep—after enough story progression, you can talk to Charmander and visit Professor Tangrowth together, who will give you the Ditto flag, which lets you designate a house as Ditto's house. Since you've already built a house, the option should be available soon if not already unlocked. You can put the Ditto flag in front of your vacant house, or choose any house that's already occupied if you want to have a roommate.

Afterwards, you can create more Ditto flags with 1 Sturdy Stick, 1 Twine, and 1 Leppa berry.

Follow-up question. How do I make a roof. Lmao is it just the same as the walls?

I think you can get recipes for them at the Pokémon Center, idk if you might need to just play more to unlock them. Though in the meantime they're not technically required for a building to count as a house
