Depends what the rest of your team looks like
im horrible at teambuilding but i do believe freggles is right. whats the rest of the team?
i got lucario, camerupt, meganium, absol, greninja
We don’t allow questions for individual teams, it would have to be generalized
oh. sorry
Putting this here, as this is a good refresher and learning experience, as we have had a lot of new users lately.

The reason we have this rule is so that the answer can help more than one person. If it’s team specific, it won’t be able to help someone else, as the answer might not be applicable, or the other option is better, etc.

Normally with questions like this, the answer should list pros and cons of each option, like movesets, stats, availability in the game, utility against majors battles, etc, and then say I think this is the better option based upon these factors.
Here’s an example post:
https://pokemondb.net/pokebase/428953/would-alakazam-the-traded-mime-better-for-frlg-playthrough

It’s discouraged to ask for the rest of the team, or to answer questions with the team in mind, as the encouragement against the rule takes away from being able to help anyone else with a similar comparison.
It’s no biggie, but try not to ask for the team, and try not to answer with the team in mind if the post/comment has the team. If a post has a team in the comment or question, you may answer it without the team in mind, but flag it so that staff can remove the team.
Got you, I've hidden my answer now

time for one of my favorite things to help with Team Questions, Comparisons!
Beedrill
First we have Beedrill, when he is fully evolved, his stats are... not great, with only 395 as his BST he will not tank many hits due to his low Def and Sp Def stats especially when many of the boss fights in Z-A use Plus moves like they're going out of style, the best thing about regular Beedrill would be be his Atk which is 90, he could make some use of that, but I don't think he's strong enough Boss Fight-wise. move pool-wise though he packs quite a lot in his arsenal with Drill Run being a great coverage move for fire types and his STAB moves with X-Scissor and Poison Jab, you could use Swords Dance to try and help his meager Atk outside of Mega Evolution, or one of his DLC moves is Dual Wingbeat which could help with Fighting Types, not to mention he learns Outrage in Z-A so if you struggle with a dragon type Boss, he would be somewhat helpful.

However Mega Evolution turns him into quite a powerhouse!
Beedrill
With 150 in his Atk and 145 in his Spd he will easily tear through some Boss Fights or trainer battles, the only thing is that he is still quite frail and will die as easily as his Normal Form

in the other pokéball we have Garbodor
Garbodor
Garbodor has a stat total almost 100 points higher than regular Beedrill, an immediate upgrade, however his stats are pretty much stuck between 60 and 90 which isn't great, his Atk being only 5 Stat points higher than Beedrill, the main reason I would choose him is he won't die as often, since his defenses along with his Hp are much higher than Beedrill's. another thing is Garbodor learns some pretty good coverage moves with Brutal Swing, Thunderbolt, and Solar Beam as some of his Base Game moves, throw in the DLC and he gets Drain Punch along with Seed Bomb

to Recap
if you want to have to use Mega Evolution constantly to actually do something Beedrill would be your best bet

If you like not having to Mega Evolve to be able to battle well then Garbodor would be the Pokémon i'd choose
