After you beat the game completely(you will unlock Luminous Spring before that, but you can't evolve your players, you have to beat Palkia and Darkrai.)you can select it from the map and evolve them. After you beat Diagla, you will get a dream about Cresselia leading to Spacial Rift and Dark Crater. Just follow the story.
