If I put 255 EVs into stat #1 and then I go and train for stat #2 but in the process of that I battle a pokemon that gives off an EV for stat #1 would my total EVs remaining count be one lower but that EV would be lost forever since stat #1 already has 255 or would it just not count towards any total what so ever?
