GBA stands for Game-Boy Advanced it is a hand held console made by Nintendo. This was the hand held that was made right before the D.S. system. This hand held plays the Pokemon games Fire-red, Leaf-green, Emerald, Ruby, and Sapphire. There is a GBA slot in the back of the D.S. and D.S. lite which one can use to play GBA games. The D.S.i and 3D.S. Hand held's do not contain this feature. One can use the pal-park to transfer Pokemon from the GBA games to Gen IV games if there is a GBA Pokemon game in the GBA slot.
