Special rhyperior possibility

Question

I was reading bulbapedia on the article about palmer in pearl & he has a rhyperior with special moves so I was thinking: if he had choice specs & maxed out evs in special attack, could he stand a chance in the battle frontier in platinum? Please don't get angry at me for asking a question about a seemingly silly move set because I find that with 1.5x his maxed special attack of 229, that would be over 300 sp Attack which is pretty good for a base 55 stat.

Although Rhyperior has a pretty good Special movepool, don't consider it for a special sweeper. It is way too slow of being of any SAtk sweeping use. You're better off with Physical.
