Something is wrong with the honey trees in my platinum game.

Question

ok so i put honey on them and saved then reset the clock waited till the minute passed and went to the tree but it said "the tree is slatherd with honey, would you like to slather it with honey" why didn't it give me my pokemon?

>Once Honey is slathered on one of the trees and at least 6 hours have passed, a Pokémon may appear on the tree. If a tree is left unchecked for 24 hours, both the honey and any Pokémon will be gone. -Bulbepedia

So you have to get your honey between 6 hours and 24 hours.
