I thought if you hide a question, you only keep down-vote points?

I hid "What moves can Metronome not use?" (JCM told me it was a duplicate so I hid it) and it had 1 vote. My points were 140 from that up-vote, and when I hid it, my points were still 140. I thought you lose all except down-vote points?

You probably got up-voted somewhere else that most likely what happened.
