Meta-PokéBase Q&A

When looking up egg moves for evolve DLC Pokémon in Gen 9, it will say that it can't learn any egg moves. They're only shown on their pre-evolutions, and I feel it needs to be updated, especially since you can now give egg moves to your already evolved Pokémon, and especially since it wasn't an issue in previous generations.

I would also like to point out that in a recent Pokémon related YouTube video, one of the people uses PokémonDB as their main R&D, and they said that Furret can't learn Tidy Up because they looked it up. Another person thought that it did learn Tidy Up, so they looked it up on PokémonDB and was fully convinced it didn't actually get that move after all since it didn't show up. But the thing is that Tidy Up is one of Furret's egg moves, and since Furret is an evolved Pokémon released in the Gen 9 DLC, it doesn't show any of its egg moves. They didn't bother checking the pre-evolution nor looked at any other related sites as well.

There was also another video where two people chose Pokémon depending on their egg moves, and for some Pokémon, they were described as having no egg moves even though they actually do, because PokémonDB said so.

So not only is the missing egg moves a bit of an inconvenience for trainers that want to give their Pokémon the best moves, but it could also give people misinformation when looking it up which could make people very confused or believe something that isn't true.

It's a shame that Pokemaster doesn't just let people with enough Pokebase points edit the main site, because he's not really engaging in updating the site anymore
