This is the thing I'm talking about. On Pokemon Showdown, there are different formats (or tiers) you can play, like Overused (OU) Underused (UU), etc. You can build teams for those formats. Each format also has a Viablity Rankings that have which Pokemon are viable, which is useful for building teams. My advice is to pick a Pokemon you want to use, learn about the format its viable in, and then build a team. For example, if I really like Talonflame, I would learn about Gen 8 NU since it's the tier Talonflame is viable in. There are formats called Anything Goes, but I wouldn't recommend starting out with Anything Goes (AG) because it's a legendary filled tier, so if you don't like using legendary Pokemon, the AG formats are not good starting formats. I'm curious, have you ever played Pokemon Showdown before? It's a online battle simulator.

rng is basically a bad luck curse for me (It's really how move accuracy and stuff like that works on Pokemon Showdown and in games)

I can't change it, but it's not really a problem either. It's just how the site works. The same thing applies to everybody.
Privileges e.g. voting doesn't transfer, which is a bit annoying. But the solution is to make good posts on every section.

its because the "Users interested in pokemon as more than a normal fan", so poke maniac fits well. and naming a club with your favorite pokemon doesn't seems right, UNLESS it's an absol club.
speaking of absol, steppy(stephwheel8) have an absol club, so you could join there if you want too. and i want to know, what strategy you use for absol in competitive battle? i usually use the crit absol set.
