Good points, good points indeed.
For me it's more of a 'better than nothing' sort of scenario. I'll buy the new games even if there's some things I don't like, the main issue with me was the console. Switch mini ain't a big deal or anything but at least it'll be a hundred dollars cheaper. Plus, there'll be games other than Pokemon that I'll want to get eventually.

I'd rather be bitter about a game console being the thing that manipulates a general public out of necessity to other merchandise than be bitter about things like insurance companies manipulating a general public out of a necessity to life.
