Same with me and Crystal though, lol. I think gen 3 came out when I was born. Weird to think about.

I remember my sister playing platinum for the first time. I was 5 (turning 6)and I was at my grandpas for Christmas. I was SUPER JEALOUS she got Pokémon for Christmas while I got Kirby Super Star Ultra. I then had an insane fixation with Pokémon Diamond. I wanted it SO badly. On my 7th birthday, I ended up getting HG. I was SO EXCITED to play “Pokémon Crystal,” my first game, in “HD” on my ds. Picked chikorita like I did in Gen 2. I think a year or two later I saved up enough birthday money for Diamond, went to the store, but they only had Platinum! Understandably, as DP were old by then. I was so sad. I got Platinum.

Omg you were 6 when xy came out? And that’s your first game? I think I was 10 when XY came out, and my first game was Crystal (I was three)
