I promise it’s not your device! This is a site quirk unfortunately, you’ll get the hang of it.

In the photos I did, all I did was make sure there was one single space between the [1]: and the link, and then you only do one enter/new line between each of them. In yours, you can see there was multiple lines a part, and just double check that there’s 1 space between the [1]: and the link. Like

I've answered like 1,900 questions and I was also an active Bulbapedia editor for a while. I have a pretty good idea of what unanswerable questions and incomplete answers look like.

That’s pretty common to happen! A lot of the stuff in the preview doesn’t translate properly. It’s a little bug that happens with some formatting things.

At first, it stumped me, too. But I think the issue was with the space
