That's just looking at one side of the coin imo, but I might just be stretching the issue or "overthinking". I'm gonna ask Fizz and other staff about what they think of this. :P

What are your opinions on editing answers right away decreasing answer-quality in the long run tho? I'd love to hear others' opinions on that.

The best example would be when we used to edit all posts for a user named Skyler who had a habit of capitalising the first letter of every word. It looked practical at first but then it got too much and we had to ask him to stop doing that. Examples like that are rare, but they're bound to come up sometime. I also believe that with time people start getting less motivated to edit answer, which is natural human tendency, but it's something to keep in mind yk. So yeah I feel like waiting before editing answers (I completety forgot to mention, THIS IS STRICTLY ABOUT ANSWERS!!), like until it gets the BA or another answer is posted, would encourage the poster of the answer to improve it. Again, this is just my opinion and I have no right to tell on what needs to be done; but I'll be really glad if my suggestions/opinions help improve the site quality.

About the editing thing, I wasn't trying to criticise him for editing it, I was trying to express my opinion on editing things right away (poor wording again, sorry for that). Anyway, I also used to think that editing everything would be the best (I'm a grammar nazi too lol), until I realised that if we as a community give the impression that everything posted would be perfected by the staff by editing right away, then people wouldn't feel the need to improve their posts. When a user compares their post to a better-written post, they certainly feel the need to improve theirs. Editing right away would ultimately lead to lesser people putting effort into their posts and more badly-written posts coming up. It looks like an attractive option in the short-term, but leads to decrease in site quality in the long run imo.
