Also this only happened to me on volt white 2, I played through the entire HeartGold and that never happened once, although the game sometimes froze if you kept the game running, closed the ds, and then reopened it at some point

I will tell you that at some point in your playthrough of the game, (I chose volt white 2 so there is a chance it doesn't happen if you choose blaze black 2,) your game will start crashing at every other trainer battle if not more. Not wild encounters just trainer battles. It got to a point for me where the game became unplayable, and I had gotten all 8 gym badges.

Nevertheless, the game is extremely fun, even if you've already played the og B2W2. Highly recommend.

Oh, neat! Mawile's a favorite of mine (I mean it says so in my Favorite Pokemon section but I'll state the obvious anyway). I caught one on my Ultra Moon nuzlocke and named him Gau. :3

Oh, and I also used one on a different Ultra Moon playthrough. It was in Japanese, so I had little idea what was going on, but it was still pretty fun. I named him Silver (thank goodness they have English letters), I think.
