Whoever wrote that article, I agree SO MUCH that he should've been the champion, lol. I think the writer did forget he's at the Battle Maison in ORAS and even at the Battle Tree in SuMo/USUM as a really strong trainer, though (ORAS really helped his character more than RSE did in general).
