I saw your question about completing the USUM Pokedex. I use the GTS to try to complete the Pokedex. I use level one Pokemon and  for some reason, people would trade me high level Pokemon just by depositing a level one Pokemon. Other times I would catch Pokemon and then evolve them.
Oh, you don't have to worry about getting the following:
Magearna
Marshadow
Zeraora
