As my first mono team was a success, I've decided to make another one! Steel is the most defensive type out there, so I thought why not try that?
HERE WE GO!!!!!

enter image description here
Birdie (Skarmory) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Spikes
- Whirlwind

This bird was an idea from Jar Jar, and I love it! Brave Bird for STAB, Roost to heal, Spikes for some handy hazards and Whirlwind to switch up the gameplay!

Jirachi
Fairy (Jirachi) @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 236 SpD / 20 Spe
Naive Nature
-Iron Head
-U-Turn
-Fire Punch
-Healing Wish

Fairy FTW! I really like Jirachi because of its even stats and its wide movepool. Iron Head and Psychic are STAB, Fire Punch is coverage, and Healing Wish... Healing Wish is really helpful. A Ground type could absolutely smash my team, so recovery is definitely vital.

Heatran
Molta (Heatran) @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
Timid Nature
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
-Stealth Rock
-Lava Plume
-Toxic
-Roar

Another great Jar Jar idea! Stealth Rock for hazards, Lava Plume for STAB, Toxic for slowly destroying and Roar to get their Pokemon hurt by Stealth Rock!

Empoleon
Pengi (Empoleon) @ Life Orb
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
-Surf
-Flash Cannon
-Drill Peck
-Ice Beam

Pengi!!! This is a very simple set, Flash Cannon & Surf are STAB and Drill Peck & Ice Beam are coverage. That's all there is to it!!

Steelix
Oryx (Steelix) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 220 Def / 36 SpD
Jolly Nature
-Iron Defence
-Dragon Tail
-Earthquake
-Gyro Ball

You can't get much more defensive than Steelix. Its mind-blowing defense stat can be put to amazing use. Dragon Tail can do damage and make your opponent switch out, Iron Defense boosts that crazy defense even further, so you wont have to worry too much about physical sweepers. Earthquake is for that well-needed STAB, and Gyro Ball is STAB too. It is really handy on Steelix because of its terrible speed.

Aggron
Tank (Aggron) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Rock Head
EVs: 116 HP / 252 Atk / 140 Spe
Adamant Nature
-Heavy Slam
-Head Smash
-Rock Polish
-Ice Punch

"WOAH. LOOK AT THOSE CRAZY MOVES, HEAD SMASH AND HEAVY SLAM ARE GOING TO WIPE OUT THAT AGGRON." Nope. Rock Head is such a brilliant ability as it stops recoil. Here we also have Rock Polish to speed this Tank up, and Ice Punch for coverage.

There we go! That was my Mono-Steel Team!! Now for the credits!

Guidance: Smogon
Sprite Maker: KnightOfDragon/$tarfire
Improver: Jar Jar

Thank you, and good night!

1. I was under the impression that monotype doesn't allow ubers. :L
2. I have no idea what that jirachi set is. Scarf-Mix-Rachi-with-Wish? You want a healing pokemon, but scarf means Jirachi gets stuck on spamming wish, until you switch and everything =/
3. Don't focus sash Aggron. :3 band it for more power :3
When I click the link to this on chat, it says its been hidden. But when I click this from the battle subway page, it isn't :/ help me
I changed Jirachis item to Leftovers
added in the sprites have fun
And yeah I'm pretty sure Dialga isn't allowed :c
Well I had Giratina in my ghost mono
I have no idea how :3
But OU Monotype doesn't allow uber pokemon on Showdown, and I'm not aware of any other monotype tier
:3 :/ :S
Welp, lost this once because of my damn computer. Will be brief due to limited time + that i'm lazy.

Skarmory > Steelix. Spikes and Whirlwind support + ground immunity.

Skarmory @ Leftovers
Trait: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Brave Bird
- Roost
- Spikes
- Whirlwind

Specially Defensive Heatran > Weather Trapper. That set is meant to help sun teams keep up the sun, and this is not a sun team and shouldn't be.

Heatran @ Leftovers
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
- Lava Plume
- Stealth Rock
- Roar
- Protect / Will-O-Wisp / Toxic

ScarfRachi > Whatever set you have there. Provides a Scarfer for the team, and is one of the fastest Steel types.

Jirachi @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Iron Head
- U-Turn
- Ice Punch
- Fire Punch / Healing Wish

Well, i hope this helps a bit.
Thanx jarjar
"OU" Monotype is exactly that: am OU Tier where all Teams are of the same Type. That being said, Ubers such as your Dialga here amd Giratina on Ghost are Banned (yeah, I wish Gamefreak would make a Non-Uber Dragon/Steel Type too.

Perhaps Skarmory could replace it as the Physically Defensive Wall as the Ground Immunity, Spike Hazards, and Phazing Moves make it a priceless asset to Mono Steel. The Standard Set can be seen on Smogon [Physically Defensive].

Heatran is a solid Specially Defensive Wall in Mono Steel, atlhough I prefer Empoleon. One alternate Set that I've been Testing Effectively is SpecsTran, who is so powerful that it can fight "Fire with Fire" (literally).

Specano (Heatran) (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SAtk / 8 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Fire Blast / Magma Storm / Lava Plume
- Earth Power
- Dark Pulse
- Dragon Pulse

The name says it all. This guy's combination of great Typing and Bulk allow itto Switch into Top Tier Threats such as Latios, Ninetales, and even opposing Heatran and take a hit only to retaliate with a surprisingly stronger than usual Fire Blast or many of it's Coverage options. This Offensive prowess is further Boosted by Flash Fire, a great Fire Immunity for your Team that allows Heatran to burn a new mouth into anything that doesn't have a Fire Immunity itself.

Why does ScarfAchi have any any Investment in anything other than Spd and Attack? I suggest 252 Atk / 252 Spd, (+Spd, -SAtk) and U-turn / Iron Head / Fire Punch > Psychic / Healing Wish.
Stop Putting In Ubers >=(
Just have
Oryx is back!
Offensive Heatean tears this part apart...
yesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

steel is one of my fave types
