Hi there, fellow Database user, welcome to my new UU team! I made one in the past, but they weren't very successful. It started with DB~Valet wanting me to go to chat, and then this team was born. Please rate this team! All suggestions are very welcome! So, let's get started.
Note to DB~Valet, feel free to edit anything you want. :D
The Team Building Process
So, it all started with me asking Jojo if he can give me a lesson. He agreed, and then told me to choose a Pokemon. I said Umbreon. Yup, Umbreon. I like Eeveelutions, and he explained synergy and stuff like that, and he said that these three Pokemon go perfect together (I suggested Rotom-Mow, BTW :P)
Now it's almost complete. I needed a lead, fast and, and able to stop most leads, and to stop more common leads. It's got some good leading moves, and is going to be my lead. I also replaced Umbreon with Weavile, since I wanted some strong Physical offense while keeping the core. I also makes and effective trapper, with Pursuit.
I soon decided I needed some more support. I got Hitmontop, since it's got good supporting stats, and can spin away hazards. I also decided I need rocks. Since Smogon's Stealth Rock page is kind of messed up, I knew that Nidoqueen has some reasonable supporting stats, and can set up some rocks.
At this point, I showed the last team to Jojo, and he liked it. He had some suggestions though. He suggested to replace Nidoqueen with Bronzong. A lot more bulk, and covers the Flying resistant gap. After a few test battles, Blastoise came to make it's home here, and does the same job as Hitmontop, and can phaze too. That's it, I guess.
Team Synergy
Yay! I figured it out. :P So, here it is.
The Team
The moment you've all been waiting for, my team.
Weavile @ Choice Band
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk/252 Spd/4 Sp. Def
Nature: Jolly
~ Pursuit
~ Ice Shard
~ Low Kick
~ Ice Punch/Night Slash
The Physical Attacker, and the Psychic Trapper part of my core. :P Must I say much more? This is my only hard hitting Physical guy. Or should I say girl? Anyway, The EVs are for Sweeping capabilities, and Choice Band helps give an awesome boost of Attack. Pursuit is for Trapping, and good STAB. Ice Shard is good Priority and STAB. Low Kick is coverage against those weaknesses, and other... Pokemon. I'm using Ice Punch right now, and it is STAB, and I've gotten Freeze hax before, but I was thinking Night Slash for STAB, and to kill the Pokemon weak to dark that don't switch out.
Chandelure @ Choice Specs
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 120 HP/252 Sp. Atk/128 Spd/8 Sp.Def
Nature: Modest
~ Fire Blast
~ Hidden Power Fighting
~ Shadow Ball
~ Energy Ball
The floating Chandelure is my Special Attacker and part of the core, and has this massive Sp. Atk stat, and Specs boosts it even more. EVs help maximize power, while allowing it to be a bit more speedy and giving it some bulk. Fire Blast is powerful STAB, chance to burn, and I pretty much can sweep with this, as long as I don't run out of PP or miss or get a bad threat. :P HP Fighting covers it's weaknesses, pretty much all of them. Shadow Ball is STAB, and... yeah. Energy Ball is coverage on water types, and DB~Valet chose this over Trick because of Blastoise.
Rotom-Mow @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 Sp. Atk/252 Spd/4 Sp. Def
Nature: Timid
~ Leaf Storm
~ Volt Switch
~ Hidden Power Fire
~ Trick
The Special Sweeper, and the last of the trio core. Scarf is to get some good speed, and the EVs help maximize Sweeping capabilities. Leaf Storm is the only STAB Grass move we get, and it's pretty powerful. Volt Switch is STAB and to get out safely while dealing damage. HP Fire is for coverage against some other weaknesses, all misc. Trick is to get rid of the Scarf, and to kill those walls.
Crobat @ Black Sludge
Trait: Inner Focus
EVs: 176 HP/192 Atk/4 Sp. Def/136 Spd
Nature: Jolly
~ Brave Bird
~ Taunt
~ Roost
~ U-Turn
The annoying bat Pokemon evolution is in my team, and is the best bet for walls. It is also one of my leads. Black Sludge is to get off some HP, and Inner Focus helps with Fake Out. EVs make Crobat have some power and bulk, and Speed gets added to help be fast and rid of certain Pokemon. Taunt and U-Turn is great for leads, and can stop walls, while allowing to scout when the walls get switched out. Roost and Brave Bird go together, Roost healing off any damage and recoil while Brave Bird attacks.
Down there is the continuation!
