Ok. We've had Gen 6 for like 5 months. We have had a total of 2 ubers teams posted in that time, with only one (courtesy of Jojo and Sempi) actually being a legitimate Gen 6 ubers team. So I figured I'd put up mine.

Building and Synergy:

Team Building:

I built this team to abuse and to counter Gen 6's most potent new threat, Xerneas, who has joined the ranks among Kyogre and Arceus in contention for the title of King of Ubers. It all started with Ho-Oh, whose massive special defense and resistance to fairy check the deer of life. Ho-Oh dislikes Zekrom and likes the sun, so Groudon is a nice partner, and it does well against opposing Ho-oh and Heatran Xerneas dislikes. Zekrom, and now most notably Kyogre, remain issues, so Ferrothorn comes in to provide the hazards. Ho-Oh needs defog support badly, and I desire something than can handle Xerneas even if it sets up Geomancy, and a STAB Bullet Punch from Mega-Scizor is a fine option. Finally, my need for speed and for a fire counter is fully satisfied in the good ole Choice Scarf Kyogre.

Type Chart:

  • The columns are 4x resitance, 2x resistance, immunity, 2x weakness and 4x weakness from left to right
    enter image description here

Notable Weaknesses and Resistances

  • 2 4X to Fire:: Kyogre and Ho-oh's naturally high special defense stats and Groudon's abilties as a Ho-oh check make it managable

  • 2 2X to Electric: Groudon can stomach Zekrom and Ferrothorn handles Thunders

  • 1 4X to Rock: Groudon don't care and Scizor can defog

  • 2 2X to Grass: Handled by 3 double resistances

  • 2 resistances and 1 immunity to Dragon: This is the he-man dragon haters club

It should also be noted that Xerneas' weaknesses are each covered three and four times over respectively

Roles and Reasoning

It's evaluation time!

Groudon: Physical Wall

enter image description here

Reasoning: Groudon counters Zekrom and Terrakion, as well as Rayquaza and Ho-oh, in a fashion no physical wall can match. It's ability to provide sunlight for Ho-oh and dish out strong Earthquakes make it the quintessential Ho-oh partner, and it is quite useful to have when facing E-killer and swift swimmers as well.

Moves: Stealth Rock provides the easy entry hazard, key in ruining the threatening Ho-oh, Shaymin-S and Rayquaza. Thunder Wave is an unexpected support move that is quite useful to a team that without set up is slow on it's feet, or fins, or whatever Scizor has. Earthquake is the standard STAB which nails Heatran and Zekrom, and Stone Edge nails Ho-oh and Rayquaza.

Spread: Standard defensive wall spread for maximum defensive capability, with that little bit of attack investment to further back the EdgeQuake combo.

Ho-oh: Physical Sweeper & Wall Breaker

enter image description here

Reasoning: Ho-oh has great ability as a Xerneas check, especially against those that lack Thunder/Thunderbolt. It can also demolish any steel type not name Heatran, and can even handle Heatran with Earthquake if need be, not to mention the fact that it handles Mega Charizard Y and most fire types very well and takes special hits like a champ. Most importantly, with a Life Orb it has great wall breaking ability, and if Xerneas fails to sweep, it can serve as a back up with Tailwind.

Moves: With Tailwind up, nothing not named Deoxys will outspeed the phoenix without a boost, allowing for maximum carnage. Then, one can proceed to burn with Sacred Fire, destroying the pesky Scizor, Ferrothorn and Genesect in the process, or just destroy everything not named Zekrom, Rock-Arceus or Tyranitar with Brave Bird, with Regenerator and Roost compensating for all that hazard and residual damage.

Spread: Again, standard fair, with Adamant over Jolly because at base 90 Ho-oh doesn't gave speed without a boost anyway and I like having more power to break through walls. I may change the spread by shifting some speed EVs to HP while maintaining enough to outspeed +2 Xerneas with Tailwind up, but I still like having the speed around.

I can tell this team is really good Even without the continue
Where did you get Gen 6 sprites/models? I have been looking for a source for those. Thanks!
Why no Dragon's allowed? They are cool.
I like dragons (in fact, I have an entire RMT devoted to a team revolving around two of them),but they are extremely common in ubers, and I built a team to counter them.
^ what i was just going to say

Xerneas

enter image description here

Reasoning: It's a very, very scary fairy. Seriously, when boosted it can rip through the entire tier practically unassisted. Sure, it only has one shot, and Ho-oh, Poison and Steel Arceus give it trouble, but it can get through them too with the proper coverage. Also, dragons, the most prevalent type in the tier, bow before their deer overlord, and can easily be set-up upon.

Moves: Geomancy, in conjunction with Power Herb, is a double quiver dance with no drawbacks, making Xerneas nigh unbeatable from the Special Side in one turn. Moonblast is the standard STAB, that with the Fairy Aura boost, wrecks anyhting that isn't specifically designed to tank it. Focus Blast nails the likes of Heatran and Ferrothorn, while Psyshock is nice for hitting Poison Arceus and hitting Ho-oh on it's weaker physical side, and it allows Xerneas to somewhat function as a mixed attacker without actually being mixed, sorta like Mewtwo.

Spread: This would be the standard spread, which outspeeds Deoxys-S and all scarfers slower than or equal to Garchomp after a boost. I may desire more speed evs at a later time, but that bulk is mighty nice for allowing set up.

Ferrothorn

enter image description here

Reasoning: Ferrothorn can take hits from Kyogre, Normal-Arceus and Xerneas, i.e. the three kings of ubers, like a champ, and can even damage Arceus passively thanks to Iron Barbs. Similarly, Zekrom is of little issue to it, and it easily set up hazards and can actually deal out good damage. Most importantly, it can lure out fire and fighting attacks for Ho-Oh to switch into, and tends to attract dragons which serve as set-up bait for Xerneas.

Moves: Gyro Ball is truly what makes Ferrothorn a potent offensive threat, allowing i to nail the likes of Mega Mewtwo Y, Kyurem and Darkrai and pretty much anything of decent speed. Power Whip, similarly, handles Groudon and Kyogre. Spikes is just a hobby Ferrothorn has to pass the time while it Leech Seeds everything dry, but it is nice to gain further residual damage, especially with many threats in ubers lacking leftovers recovery.

Spread: As Ferrothorn is designed primarily to handle Kyogre and Xerneas, I made it specially defensive, fully investing in special bulk. That said, it retains the bulk needed to tank resisted and moderately powerful physical hits. That small bit in attack assures that Gyro Ball will leave a little more of a dent in the scary Mega-Mewtwo Y (I don't like Mega Mewtwo Y).

Kyogre

enter image description here

Reasoning: It's mother turducken choice scarf Kyogre! The very pokemon that has terrified ubers for the past 3 generations. If you didn't know, a rain boosted full health Water Spout is the definition of power. I love this whale. Fire types cower in fear of this Leviathan. It's ability to revenge kill anything that isn't Palkia or Lati@s is truly impressive.

Moves: The standard stuff. Water Spout, at full health, has base 337.5 power in the rain after STAB. Thunder nails opposing Kyogre and other water types, and is a powerful move overall for those who don't resist it, not to mention the handy paralysis chance. Ice Beam makes the dragons and the grass types keep at bay, and Surf is chosen over Hydro Pump because I prefer the reliability.

Spread: The standard fair for the standard scarfer. Max speed with a speed boosting nature to ensure maximum speed.

Mega-Scizor

enter image description here
Reasoning: As said above I needed something to clear away stealth rock for Ho-oh, and additionally, I wanted something that make Xerneas cower in its hoofs even after setting up. It also functions as a great scout and more importantly is unexpected and uncommon. Many people expect the choice band set, which is great, as it allows me to lure in walls which I can then scout, defog, or recover on.

Moves: If Scizor is going to be a defogger, well then it needs Defog. U-turn allows for scouting and deals solid damage, especially to Mewtwo and Darkrai, although it is not wise to stay in on the former. Bullet Punch is in there for the priority, and is especially useful against Xerneas and Kyurem-W, or truly any frail sweeper. Finally, Roost extends Scizor's lifespan, which is especially useful since it can't hold leftovers.

Spread: A rehash from the standard spread of Gen 5, it allows Scizor to take most special hits, and it's natural physical bulk is retained. Of course, a good portion goes in to power up that Bullet Punch.

Team Threats and Review

Threats include but are not limited to...

  • Palkia: If it carries Fire Blast, which it almost always does, Ferrothorn and Scizor are of no use. Ho-oh can not handle it at all in rain, stands meager chances in normal weather, but actually will probably win against it in the Sun. Groudon and Kyogre fair poorly as well, but with the sun up groudon can take a hit and paralyze it. However, Xerneas would gladly use Palkia as set up bait.
  • Dialga: Once again, Fire Blast means Scizor and Ferrothorn are out of the question. Kyogre does poorly against it as well, but both Groudon and Xerneas fair well against it, assuming it doesn;t carry a physical steel move in the case of the latter. Ho-oh also does well, but doesn't like taking a Thunder.
  • Genesect: All members of the team have trouble with it, depending on the variant. If it has Flamethrower/Blaze Kick, Ferrothorn and Scizor are once again ineffective. Xerneas dislikes the physical variant, neither Kyogre nor Ho-oh are found of Thunder, and Groudon won't appreciate an Ice Beam.
  • Arceus: Although Groudon, Scizor and Ferrothorn don;t mind tanking Extreme Speed, Normal Arceus is always a threat no matter what you do in Ubers.

To finish off, this is my ubers team, it has a strict no dragons policy, and feel free to rate and comment as you wish.

Credit goes to Mr. K for the Xerneas and Scizor spreads. The 3-D sprites can be found here.

I'm sorry for being a bit of an idiot, but how do I actually get those sprites here? I tried copy-pasting the picture and the URL, and neither worked. For the one in the question, and the one dr_dude_of_bananas gave me. Sorry, and thanks!
i think all six of your members should be replaced by palkia dialga giratina rayquaza lati@s  and of course arceus-dragon
For me, I did Control-Click on each image and chose "Copy Image URL". My bad. I should have specified that.
No problem! Thanks! I don't see the Copy Image URL option, though. I'm sorry for bothering you, but am I missing smoething obvious?
press the picture of a picture in the menu where you can choose bold and italic and stuff, then, enter URL. this works only in questions and answers.
Thank you!
