Welcome one and all to another RMT by yours truly.

Remember my Charizard Y team I used to win a few tournaments here and there as well as punish some unsuspecting souls? Well, here it is, in all of its glory, being retired in favor of another team soon.

Back a couple of weeks, I wanted to see the buzz about Mega Charizard Y. I had stolen Lenub's set, which didn't work for me, so I went 3 attacks and Roost. This is the story of that team, the one I've beaten a few people with. Now that I've retired this team as of this post, feel free to use it, I might bring it back sometime here and there. But its days as my primary team are over.
Teambuilding process:

The reason for the team. Right here. Now, I needed something to Scarfscout since Genesect got banned right before I built this. I could only think of one thing that wrecked in the sun
enter image description here
Now, I needed a spinner that wasn't afraid of anything, preferably able to soak rock attacks and ground attacks.
enter image description here
Now, I wasn't comfortable with Terrakion running around my team after Donphan died, and Donphan was a utility, so...

Now, I needed a Talonflame check

Wynaut, it checks a lot in OU? And now, for an old favorite

Charizard-Mega-Y (F) @ Charizardite Y
Ability: Drought
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 Def
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fire Blast
- Focus Blast
- SolarBeam
- Roost
Breaks every defensive core in OU. There aren't any safe switches into Fire Blast. Everything takes a huge chunk in the sun, including opposing Charizard Y, with over 50% on high rolls. Focus Blast annihilates the one thing in OU that CAN switch into Fire Blast with impunity: Heatran. Solarbeam destroys Rotom and gives me a reliable damaging move against Gastrodon, etc. Roost is for recovery.

Conkeldurr @ Assault Vest
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Knock Off
- Ice Punch
0 IV Brave makes me slower than any Aegislash, OHKOing blade form with Knock Off. Standard AV Stronkeldurr other than that. Absorbs status like a champ, and wrecks teams. Checks Bisharp nicely.

Aegislash @ Lum Berry
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spd
- King's Shield
- Shadow Sneak
- Sacred Sword
- Iron Head
LumSlash here can do a few decent things. Such as wreck any switch in that comes in. It absorbs Latios' Draco Meteors like a champion. And we all know how much Latios is used as a defog utility these days. Nothing Latios throws at it can hurt it much. Lum Berry allows me to absorb a status move while wrecking the opponent as well as I can to hopefully threaten them out. This guy is my first sac in every battle, because once his job is done, it's done.

Donphan @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 Atk / 228 HP / 28 Def
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Rapid Spin
- Stealth Rock
- Ice Shard
Since I don't like being Bisharp bait, and I know how scary Bisharp is... Donphan is here to clear away rocks. Sturdy is priceless. Earthquake threatens everything but Gengar and Gourgeist for spinblockers. Ice Shard is handy for picking things off. Stealth Rock is explanatory. Yes all those attack EVs are indeed necessary to break anything that dare switch in and ensure my ice shard does damage.

Victini @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Jolly Nature
- U-turn
- Bolt Strike
- V-create
- Zen Headbutt
This guy usually leads, and U-Turns right the heck out, never being seen until Charizard Y sets up sun. Then if Charizard Y dies, something gets revenge killed with Sun boosted V-Create. It does over 75% to anything that singularly resists it and isn't invested in defenses. This guy also makes a nice pivot with 100/100/100 bulk, even uninvested. This guy scares more than he kills, until the very end. Easily one of the most useful Pokemon on this team. Actually, everything on this team synergizes offensively, so... yeah. This is the icing on the cake, though.

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 188 HP / 128 Def / 192 SDef
Bold Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch
- Pain Split
- Will-O-Wisp
What kind of team is it without Rotom? This guy adds a ground immunity that Victini can abuse, making a decent VoltTurn core under the right circumstances. EVs maximize bulk while being able to recover more with Pain Split. The times Victini doesn't lead, this guy does. Rotom has been a nice clutch for burning threats like Bisharp, while checking Heatran without sun up. All and all, it helps me stall out the battle until Charizard / Victini can pull off their sweeps.
