6th gen OU tem [King's Court]

Question

I was thinking: Chess involves a lot of strategy, just like pokemon. Then it struck me: pokemon chess. So here's the board and it's standings.

King the Aegislash

Item: Life Orb
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- King's Shield
- Sacred Sword
- Night Slash

The Star attraction on any board, the king. Aegislash is a major sweeper and it can dish out damage like a valiant king. Watch out.

Pawn the Smeargle

Item: Focus Sash
Ability: Moody
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Timid Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Dark Void
- Sticky Web
- Whirlwind

The pawn is the first thing on the board and helps set the playing field, like Smearlge. The dark void is sketched, by the way.

Queen the Goodra

Item: Assault Vest
Ability: Sap Sipper
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 HP / 4 SDef
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Power Whip
- Aqua Tail

The queen is one of the hardest obstacles on the board. Goodra can mess up your day sometimes and if left unchecked, goodra can wipe out teams at the blink of an eye.

Garchomp the Knight

Item: Garchompite
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 Atk / 4 SAtk
Naive Nature
- Earthquake
- Brick Break
- Swords Dance
- Dragon Pulse

HAHAHAHAHA. I pity the person going up against this garchomp.

Alakazam the Bishop

Item: Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Energy Ball
- Psyshock
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fire]

I saw this coming, and so did you. This is the holy #$%@ kind of set to alakazam that people try to take down or flee from. Too bad you're not fast enough.

Chansey the Rook

Item: Eviolite
Ability: Natural Cure
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Toxic
- Soft-Boiled
- Protect
- Flamethrower

It's a tank.

This was the team I centered around chess and I hope you enjoy. I would love some advice to change it up a bit because I don't know if it's a decent team or not. So any criticisms uou have, please share.

I would suggest using Seismic Toss over Flamethrower on Chansey, seeing as it's SpAtk is abysmal. And why mixed Garchomp? Dragon Claw is infinitely better than Pulse.

I have to say, this is not a bad team, so I'll only get to suggest a few things.

Aegislash

First off, I am proud to say I know quite a lot about Ghosts (even in competetive play) so I can help here.
I would suggest Weakness Policy over Life Orb, to make your King last longer and to save you a Swords Dance.
I would also say that Shadow Sneak is pretty much a must on this set, to pretty much cancel out his subpar Speed. Shadow Sneak will be the move you use most often because +6 priority is freaking broken (;P).

Smeargle

Smeargle will almost always have Spore over Dark Void (even with the nerf), and there's no exception to yours. Dark Void does have a chance of missing but Spore doesn't, making it the superior option here.
Whirlwind isn't great on Smeargle due to its frailty and Whirlwind's low priority, so I would suggest Foul Play to hurt Physical attackers and not make your Pawn useless with Taunt.

Goodra

This is not a bad set, but I just have one thing to consider: the Gooey Ability. It can potentially make you faster (although not likely) so your Queen can kill easier.

Garchomp

Why do you have Dragon Pulse on a Swords Dance set? Dragon Claw should be your Knight's move there. That is pretty much all I can suggest.

Alakazam

This Bishop is completely fine.

Chansey

Chansey has horrible Special Attack, so the only way your Rook can inflict meaningful damage and bypass Taunt at the same time is by Seismic Toss, like Flaf said.

Actually, I run Sap Sipper on all my Goodra, as it blocks most forms of Sleep, Leech Seed and also any other Grass moves. Plus, it's a physical attacker <;

Foul play is terrible lol. Stick with whirlwind it's so much better. The meta game has also moved past SD aegi, use mixed with shadow ball
